A must watch!
I watched The Day The Dinosaurs Died (first shown on Monday night on BBC2) last night on catch up - it was really, really interesting. Chris Evans was raving about it this morning on Radio 2! It was all about the new evidence unearthed by drilling deep under the ocean floor at the site of impact of the asteroid, off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsular. It answers questions such as why a relatively small asteroid caused such a big impact, and why all the dinosaurs were killed so quickly, even those thousands of miles away. As is often the case though I was left wanting to know more such as how the 25% of species that survived did so, but this documentary was very nicely done and well worth watching!
