Trick to find exact page you want on a website that has no search engine

Many websites don't offer a search function which can be frustrating! The kids school has an amazing website, but no search engine, so can take ages to find what you are looking for! A neat trick that I learnt when I was a research journalist at New Scientist magazine is this: type 'site' followed by a colon, ie: 'site:' and then the web address of the site you want to search, followed by the search term you are looking for. For example if I wanted to search my own site (even though it does have a search function!) then I would type this into Google: 'site:www.lucydodwell.com sweatshirt', it can come in so handy! Lucy x
