Just been listening to Chris Evans talking to the breathing expert, James Nestor who has a new book out Breath: The new science of a lost art about how the way you breath can have a dramatic impact on the quality of your life. The 2 things I took away from the interview are:
1) Breathe through your nose, always! By doing this you will inhale 20% more oxygen than breathing through your mouth, and 6 times nitric oxide which is essential for overall health because it allows blood, nutrients and oxygen to travel to every part of your body effectively and efficiently, whats more you will inhale less pollutants too.
2) Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds
Do this and you will have more energy, feel better, be calmer and sleep better.
